A Lush Greenery Escape

Sweetwater Creek State Park is a lush greenery park with over 2,000 acres of land.

Sweetwater Creek State Park is a beautiful, lush greenery park located right outside of Atlanta. Anytime I have the urge to be immersed in the beauty of nature I pack up a few snacks, tarot cards, some wine and hit the road. Sweetwater Creek State Park is truly a hidden gem right outside of Atlanta. I love hiking the trials early morning as soon as the sun meets the sky. The feeling of oneness with the Earth pulsate through my veins, the peeks of sunlight that shines through the leaves warms my skin as the cool morning breeze revitalizes my soul. Deep inhale, slow exhale, and repeat. I don’t know about you, but I get relaxed just thinking about my past visits to the park. As I walk the trails, I always tend to run into friendly people and find something new on trials, such as the cave on the yellow trial right before you reach the top of the hill. Don’t worry you won’t find any bears in there. Well at least I didn’t.

Let’s talk more about what Sweetwater Creek has to offer. A museum, playgrounds, fishing docks, picnic shelters, campsites, yurts, and more all on 2,549 acres of land with a 215 acre lake. This is more than enough land to go birding, fishing, picnicking which is my favorite, hiking my second favorite, geocaching, kayaking and more.

While writing this blog I’ve concluded that’s it’s time for another visit! I’ll be sure to take my camera the next time to capture the wonders of the opulent Sweetwater Creek.
